Maximizing Battle Potential
I'm rather new to Darklord Legends, and though I've been around a bit I still haven't involved myself in trading and maximizing of powerful cards other more experienced players have. As such I'm less knowledgable than I'd like to be and I'm starting this thread to ask questions to some questions I myself and I'd wager many others would like an answer to in regards to this topic.
I'd like to start off with skills. There are a lot of skills and which ones you pick seem largely to depend on what you're aiming for with your deck. However, some skills (e.g. Critical, Life and Death, Evasion, Paralyzing Kiss) seem to be much more highly regarded, and cards with exceptional skills (mainly URs such as Pixila and Asmodays) especially desired. One question I'd like to ask is: which skills can or can't a card learn as its second skill? To clarify, it seems there are two main types of skills: buffs and active skills. Buffs occur at the beginning of a fight (such as Life and Death and Goddess Wings) while active abilities have a chance to occur on that card's turn (such as Critical and Paralyzing Kiss). Considering my Countess Misty learned Critical along with Full Charge, it seems a card can have two active skills, but is this desirable? A card with two active skills will thus have only a chance to activate one on its turn, meaning it's less predictable. Also, is a card able to learn two buffs? If so, do they both activate or do you have a chance for either one? On that note, does a card with high attack and low defense benefit more from Life and Death to magnify its strengths or Focused Defense to compensate for its shortcomings? I expect this, however, may be more on personal preference.
My next question is in regards to maturity; other than levelling up cards with duplicates this seems to be the only way to increase a card's stats outside buff skills mentioned earlier. I've noticed, however, that the maximum maturity of a card ranges anywhere from 1000 to 6000 depending on the rarity of the card. Furthermore, cards of the same rarity can even have different maximum maturity (URs seem to range from 5000 to 6000, with my Empusa having a maximum maturity of 5030). Is there a way to increase a card's maximum maturity, and if so how?
My last question is this: where do we get skill potions outside of trading? I've had some before, but I suspect they were log-in bonuses. The shop does not carry them, and I don't recall ever having gotten any from a chapter's full-clear bonus.
This is it for now, in a pretty long post. I'd write out a tl;dr, but this isn't the sort of post you can sum up in anything other than "a bunch of questions, answers please." I would appreciate any answers some may provide, and I'm sure some of the newer members of the community would too.
